July 16, 2021 - Decanted briefly. This is a delicious, youthful wine with powerful, concentrated cassis, espresso earth, biting tannins, and some heat. Very enjoyable as a steakhouse wine right now or cellar and hope for more integration.

April 2, 2021 - Friday Night Uptown Brown Bagger (R&D's): Double blind. Dark color. Aromas of incense, black raspberry, chocolate, vanilla and florals. More complex than the others in the lineup and shows a hint of elegance which I like quite a bit. Firm and tannic, with abundant black fruit. Feels more balanced than the others as well. Black and blue fruit flavors with a lingering finish. My favorite in this flight. (R&D)

June 12, 2018 - Last minute pull. Previous notes apply, though this was more flavorful and giving after a slow O2 for an hour and some swirling in the glass. I’ll try to hold until after 2019+.
