December 20, 2021 - Still a bit unresolved as there is still a bit of sulphur on the nose. A big wine with a bit if the house signature style. Long finish with good acidity to keep the wine in balance. Lots of tropical fruit lemon and some dried coconut. There is oak but for me it was not too distracting, probably would be better in a few years.

mouth - per JH sweettarts. a bit closed in my opinion.

November 24, 2021 - Decanted for a little over an hour before tasting.

Honeyed ripe stonefruits and citrus were the primary focus of this beautiful nose!

Pallet was delicious - layered, nuanced and well placed acitidy, with a beautiful mouth feel that was powerful but not without losing focus and good elements on minerality. Power without too much round. Long finish. Delightful!

    Excellent tasting experience.

October 26, 2021 - Light straw gold, immaculate.
Intense sherbet and white flowers, lemon zest.
Youthful, taught, focused, superb intensity and refinement. Lemon zest, sherbet, stone fruit spice, hint of orange rind, brought together in a perfect structure. Stunning at 16 years, no hint of age.

July 22, 2021 - It pours to a straw yellow color and packs a lot of power. Very happy it wasn’t premoxed as it was right in the zone.

I found this both alluring and thought provoking as the immediate absence of mouth searing acid (produced in such abundance today) and reduction let’s the fruit shine. Ripe and nuanced orchard fruit is complimented by well judged acidity and age appropriate notes of marzipan.

(Bonneau du Martray Corton-Charlemagne) Very pale. Well-integrated oak notes and plenty of depth on the clean nose. Soft, concentrated and with lovely depth. There are no fireworks but tons of restrained interest. Worth the price of entry…
