November 20, 2018 - This is the only 2003 Bordeaux I've had; this is dark and roasted on the nose; coffee, roasted plums, some damp leaf litter and tobacco, a bit of dried violet; the palate is dark and full, with relatively resolved tannins; more acidity than the nose would suggest; some cedar and stone develop with air; overall I found this to be quite average and unimpressive and definitely showing some signs of the heat of the vintage.

February 13, 2017 - Weekly tasting group RWP #246: 4 x 3 ( Bordeaux/Rhône/New World) (@ RW): Beautiful bouquet with red and dark berries, some earth, cigar box and a pleasant touch of barnyard. On the palate dark berries, chocolate, sweet spices and vanilla. Juicy fruits, good acidity and soft tannin with a good length. Elegant and well made wine which is ready now. No extreme hurry.

February 23, 2014 - Red brick, smoke, dark fruits and chalk. Nose is typical Bordeaux with a nice finish

June 21, 2013 - 2003 Bordeaux Tasting with Friends (Chez Moi, Paris): Clear, dark purple, bricking to rim. Clean nose, dark fruits, smokey, but very sweet - candied sweets. Medium palate, very lively, tannins completely softened, quite balanced. Medium finish. Drinking well now - unlikely to get any better.

December 25, 2012 - Wonderfully bright nose of smoke, brambles and leather. The palate is smooth, balanced and warming with flavours of black fruits & slight spice. The finish is surprisingly long.
