August 2, 2022 - Really beautiful golden colour.
Aromas of fresh walnuts, japanese curry, some citrus notes, and slightly 'torréfié' with some more evolved notes emerging.
A lighter style Jaune, this is very nice and easy drinking, creamy, nice acidity, good fruit notes and again some of the 'torréfié' notes again on the palate. I really like this wine:)
February 28, 2021 - 1.5 years after the prior: Lovely as usual — bracing acidity, creamy nuttiness, and all that. And as usual, it gets better over the course of a week, meted it out in small pours.
September 21, 2019 - Opened and enjoyed over two nights. Then we simply corked it and were away for 20 nights. On reopening it was lovely, and still very lively. Amazing stuff.
January 9, 2019 - What staying power: We opened this before Christmas 2018, and enjoyed half of it. Then into the fridge, simply corked, for 12 nights. On re-opening, and for two subsequent nights, it was bright, energetic, and just slightly smoothed out.
August 2, 2018 - As before — we love this even in the summer, especially with curried prawns.
February 27, 2018 - As before. This is a super fall/winter wine that gets only better as it remains open. And unfortunately, it’s now sold out at K & L. But I am told that they are trying to get more ....
January 12, 2018 - Similar to our last a few weeks ago. This is classic stuff. Lovely again meted out in small pours over five nights.
December 21, 2017 - Golden. Bright, energetic. Super bracing acidity backing up the expected complex nutty/curry/smoked savory caramel flavors. Long and delightful finish. Very much in line with the fine prior vintages of 08 and 09, although at this point it seems a bit fresher than its younger siblings. Highly enjoyable over four nights in small pours. We bought more.
December 1, 2017 - Classic vin jaune, well balanced and bright. Acidity is quite high. Picked up a lot of honey in this one and vanilla.
December 1, 2017 - Great minerality and acidity. For a visit jaune, this is still young and tastes like it. Not much funkiness to it, but fresher versions of the isual almond/etc flavor.
