October 7, 2023 - Over the hill; dumped out. Tried against the 2009 which was much fresher and less funky
November 13, 2021 - Excellent stuff. Took about 40 minutes for the fruit to show, but this was classic.
September 12, 2021 - Wow, this was really on tonight. Though I'd enjoyed it a year+ ago, this bottle was on point. The cork was a bit soft with some signs of seepage, but nothing severe. The wine was ruby red. This paired so perfectly with an Ottolenghi Portobello recipe with onion, celery, sundried tomato, parmesan and taleggio cheeses with tarragon. The touch of green / stem in this wine complemented it so well. I guess the pairing influences the score, but even on its own this was in a great place. Everything was in place for what this wine should be. Stellar QPR sub-$20 USD.

April 3, 2021 - last bottle of 3. seemed off.
March 12, 2021 - I thought this was a very solid Loire cab franc; light in weight be pretty food friendly. K did not like it very much, a bit to much barnyardy terroir for her. Wouldn't buy again.
January 3, 2021 - An aging dandy with just enough fruit left to dance in the palate — which makes it after my heart. Earthy, leathery with cherry and raspberry and lavender and bit of olive on the long finish.
October 23, 2020 - Funky deliciousness. Surprising amount of tannin came out with a couple hours of air.
September 14, 2020 - Bright red fruit, hint of pyrazine, light in body, juicy, clean. Easy to drink but not particularly exciting or interesting.
June 20, 2020 - Tannins fully integrated, showing secondary and tertiary traits. Expressive nose, with wild strawberry, roasted bell pepper, herbs, and spice on the palate. Slightly bitter finish, but otherwise very good and an excellent value from Garagiste at $18 for aged Chinon. Drink now.
June 8, 2020 - Very badly corked
