April 2, 2019 - An incredible PN. On the palette the wine is spiced, rich and fresh. Flavors of crushed berry and bell pepper and some chives. The wine is totally balanced and rich. I Keep coming back to botanical. Wow .... find some.

January 17, 2019 - A wonderfully aromatic PN with literally a botanical aromatic cork if you smell it. I got bell pepper while my wife said cough medicine.

In the glass much more restrained than on the cork. Fresh with aromatics of freshly crushed grapes.

This is my 2nd year having this wine. It is So balanced and big that in my view it is no longer a pedestrian PN. This rises to the level of nearly great.

January 6, 2019 - Winorama: A winter in Wineland III; 1/4/2019-1/13/2019 (Portland/Willamette, Eureka, Napa): Darker with more blackberry and boysenberry and some more heft to it. Some earthy notes. Some years there's a huge difference between this and the Ceras, but I'd say 2016 it was a bit more nuanced. Clear that this has a bit more body and darkness, but not as pronounced as it was in 2015.

January 1, 2019 - Brilliant! Best young Botanica I've had, and maybe the best vintage since '08. Tasted next to a '13 Thomas, and a few other Pinots, this wine excelled in every dimension. Tasted with a small group of Pinot fans in Portland, this was the WOTN.

December 25, 2018 - Ripe red nose of cherry and thyme. The palate echoes the nose and is quite round in the mouth. The wine started out a bit lean across the mid palate, but filled out nicely by the last glass. Tannins are very mild and acidly is moderate.
