May 9, 2021 - Still young looking - bright damson color. Earth and plum on the mild nose. Bright cherry notes, medium mouth feel, integrated but present tannin, medium finish. A little leather and the CdP heather. Drinking really well and not close to the end yet. Great classic CdP and a great QPR.

April 23, 2021 - Bricky red colour, like burnt earth. Old tobacco nose, almost like old rose. Still good tannins with almost a tint of menthol.

April 7, 2021 - From magnum. Drinking wonderfully. No significant signs of tiring out - deep color with barely any bricking at the edges (you really have to look hard). Blackberry and elderberry are seamlessly integrated with garrigue and animal notes. Long finish.

March 22, 2021 - Consumed back to back with '05 Beaucastel. This is much more to my preference, and exactly where I like drinking this in its evolution vs. 5 years later. Still a touch chewy but fresh and vibrant, with expressive nose of red fruits and bramble; as these develop more it loses some of this vibrancy. A really enjoyable wine, and the winner today vs. the much riper and dark-fruited Beaucastel.
