August 31, 2020 - Delicious wine typical of Barossa Shiraz Medium tannins and dark fruit for a well rounded taste. Will improve with further aging.
July 25, 2019 - Great drinking now but has many years ahead too. Dark and rich with light tannins. Velvet finish
February 11, 2019 - Dense dark fruits, spices, a jammy core, laced by dark chocolate. Smooth m+ tannins. Good balance and harmony in general. Need a little acidity to lift up? I take it as a character of Barossa. A very good one at its peak.
Ap 5/5, Ar 13/15, Palate 17/20, Overall 3+4/10
December 25, 2018 - Absolutely delicious already. Will continue to improve. Decanted and served for Christmas lunch where it was smooth and powerful.
December 23, 2018 - Dense dark fruits, m+ acidity, m+ tannic, m++ finish. Big structure but need time for harmony.
Ap 5/5, Ar 13/15, Palate 16/20, Overall 3+3/10
October 25, 2018 - Dark red, purple hue. Ripe dark Doris, dense mocha and creamy chocolate, moderate spices. Smooth and supple tannins. M+ finish with cedar and meaty notes. All balanced, fairly good weight and concentration, under actual price $25. Official online retail AUD60 seems like a marketing trick.
Many gold medals, HH 94, SK 95
Ap 5/5, Ar 12/15, Palate 17/20, Overall 3+4/10
May 30, 2018 - Allegiance wines keep knocking this out of the ball park with the Artisan label. A number of golds already and some high points scoring as well 94.95.96
The third I have tasted and every year has been high quality and this one is no exception.
These aren't your French light bodied wines.these are heavy and full .
A little alcohol on the nose
Plenty of fruit
Deep in colour
Some oak evident
The thing here though is, this wine is not at it's peak.
i expect it too soften again in the next couple of years no doubt this will last at least 10 years .As long as the alcohol stays in check this is a wine well worth the $60.00 au
