December 30, 2023 - End of year celebration: Quite lean but balanced with ripe red fruit that led me to think this was a Pinot-dominant wine. Haven't had much of this producer but thought this was very good.

December 30, 2023 - Yeasty and bready on the nose, touch of white flowers. On the palate, it’s elegant and refined, screeching acidity and chalky finish.

November 25, 2023 - A night with neighborhood friends: Last wine of the evening. I've liked this cuvée quite a bit lately. Great complexity here. More on the mature or oxidative side. Really dense, but the lower dosage and acidity keeps it fresh. Clearly a BdB, with pear, quince jelly, pastry notes. Under-priced, IMO.

November 24, 2023 - I love this champs. This is what I look for in champagne. Hazelnuts, pastry, apples (not bruised, just ripe), wonderful acidity, vinous. It's great as an aperitif or with food. Again, as I mostly do, I shucked some oysters that just went great with this baby. Price is also not bad!

October 28, 2023 - La Fête du Champagne Grand Tasting (Pier Sixty - New York NY): Walkaround tasting. Good richness in a somewhat oxidative style that doesn't thrill me. 50% from 2018 base, 50% from the solera that goes back to 2006.

August 28, 2023 - Nice wine for the price. Has that golden Chardonnay color to it. Not much in the way of bubbles, very fine. Showing pear and quince on the palate. I didn’t get any oxidative notes with it as others have mentioned. Finish showed lime notes to me and a bit of a bitterness tonit at the end. Disgorged July 2021. Dosage 3g. 12%

August 19, 2023 - I liked this with dinner. More on the mature, oxidative side. Really dense, but the lower dosage and acidity keeps it fresh. Clearly a BdB, with pear, quince jelly, pastry notes. I restocked some more.

June 3, 2023 - I thought this wine was a bit tight and closed when I had it six months ago, so this time I gave it two hours of air. I am so glad I did. The flinty reduction blew away to reveal toasted hazelnuts, chalky minerality, and lemon curd. This was really an aha moment where I realized I didn't need to spend >$100 to experience these flavors out of a Champagne.

February 19, 2023 - Nice color and fresh to the nose with aromas of apple, green pear and almonds. Medium smooth bubbles and a fresh taste - quite vertical and nice fruit. Not very long to the taste.

    Drank with oysters.

December 31, 2022 - Minerals, green apple, brioche. There’s a surprising amount of complexity actually. This bottle disgorged in 2021 is definitely still young. It performed best after an hour or two of oxygen, I’d love to try this again in a few years.
