November 10, 2017 - This is a very nice, if quite young, Barossan shiraz. The blueberry and boysenberry fruit are rich without being too sweet. There is real power to their expression. However the real highlight is the deep and seductive weave of herbs and soft spices through the mid-palate. So dense is the weave, it is very difficult to tease out any individual component, however this is a good helping of fennel like anise. The tannins are firm and ripe and the finish quite extended. Very nice.
