February 16, 2024 - 5th bottle from a 6 pack, enjoyed this wine with grilled steak at the beach...after a long day of fishing.
Beautiful red cherry fruit with deep soil notes, rocky minerality, fruit compote and black pepper.
Very firm acidity and some gritty tannins. Drink the last bottle by 2025+.

    July 27, 2023 - 4th bottle from a 6 pack, last tasted a year prior.
Dark fruits, rocky minerality, stems and spices.
Really nice for the paltry cost of admission...$20 USD.
    Drink through 2025+, really tasty.

July 12, 2023 - Two years since my last bottle, the wine has finally hit its peak drinking window, and is wonderful. Kudos to Ian d’Agata and Vinous, they got this right when the wine was young and it only took five years since their note, and nine years since the harvest, and quite a few bottles that I wasted way too young, for this beuty to emerge. It is a structured, controlled wine (13%ABV) with a wo derfully complex aromatic profile, great sappy acidity, just a hint of sweetness, and a very long, savory bitter and mineral finish. The organge citrus and spicy cherry flavors are notable. Some tannins. A food wine, not for cocktails. It needs more than an hour of decant, probably two, to shine. Many years ahead of it. Very good QPR.

July 1, 2022 - 3rd of 6 bottles. This was a nice Sicilian wine from Etna, showing off dark berry fruits alongside wet rocky notes and briary flavors as well.
    Drink now through 2025+. Delicious.

October 25, 2021 - Enjoyed this 2nd of 6 bottles with my family at the beach, alongside burgers and hot dogs.
Drink this tasty red over the next few years, I took no formal TN.
