November 13, 2020 - I think we just barely left this bottle too long. Still has fruit aromas, but the flesh had dropped out of the mouth leaving overly bright acidity at the end. We pulled it off with some lamb, but didn't do this wine justice. I know how good it was a couple years ago.

Too bad, really enjoyed this just after release.

September 3, 2014 - Translucent garnet with pale edges. Tarry nose with muted fruit aromas. Medium bodied with bright acidic flavors of cherry and berry with a little tobacco thrown in. Tannins were more or less well integrated and softened appreciably after a couple hours. Medium finish with some lingering tobacco. Pleasing glass of wine.

Aromatic notes of dried cherries, figa, roses, mixed with leather and tar. Medium bodied with presence of tannins with balanced acidity and an aftertaste that reminds of dried cherries. Don't think it will improve in the longer term.

(Vietti Barbaresco Masseria) Medium strawberry red color with a little cloudiness and pale meniscus; gorgeous dried cherry, raspberry and spice nose; lovely tart cherry palate with depth, layers and elegance; medium-plus finish 93+ pts.
