April 4, 2021 - a well balanced pino. Alcohol level was low so it was refreshing

March 30, 2021 - there is a very big floral nose on this. Tight and grippin on the palate. well done

    May 1, 2020 - Still a little young, but a great Pinot

February 11, 2020 - Barrel Tasting at Sylvie Esmonin with Sylvie (Gevrey Chambertin - Clos St Jacques): PnP bottle. More red fruited, more juicy and less overt than the 2018 line up. Plenty of cherry in the red and black spectrum, good meat and spice throughout. Refined presence with still grippy, firm tannin. Needs 5+ years in the cellar to open up. 92+

February 11, 2020 - Burgundy, Day 1 (Beaune, France): I think I prefer the purity and relatively lightness of the 2016 vintage to the 2018; this is a more elegant and mineral driven version of the wine, with the fruit profile more red and just a little more juicy acidity here. Drinking very well now, but this clearly has the stuffing to age.
