  March 7, 2019 - Appealing and spice filled aromatics with youthful underlying black cherry. Palate is mature with round but still fresh fruit. Earth and tar throughout the finish.

  March 7, 2019 - Some Wine Tasted at the Zachys La Paulée Auction; 3/7/2019-3/8/2019 (Le Bernardin Prive - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. Mature red fruit with lots of earth. Similar flavors that don’t quite show 1985 ripeness and density, but still very good.

  April 20, 2018 - Very youthful. In that sweet spot between tertiary profile and secondary fruit. A bit if cooling dark fruit, oak, and Nuits character. Surprisingly young. As someone noted, this tastes more like a 93 than a 85.

  December 22, 2016 - Leroy Dinner at Binkley's (Phoenix, AZ): Served blind, and most tasters were guessing 05 and 09, it's another shockingly youthful wine from Leroy. This wine is so pretty, to my taste showed its age from the get-go but it also showed tremendous fruit. Exotic and interesting, this is one hell of a premier cru!
