March 8, 2019 - PnP, with aromas of tar dominating the nose. Burly, but opens up a bit with air time to show black raspberry, black pepper, tea, mixed herbs, and tar. It's obviously a baby, but still sports a silky mouthfeel. So much potential here if you're patient.

March 7, 2019 - Goodness this wine was good tonight. Been awhile since I’d had a st cosme gigondas but this was exactly as I’d remember the ‘07 to be. Rich, polished, classy, touch stink, touch barnyardy, lingering finish with amazing glycerin notes. Very profound. No heat but some punch after a glass or two. Enjoyed with a non wine geek friend. Wow’d them too from first glass to last. Hoping to buy more. Not sure on the long term future of the wine but easily go 5 years. Right now there just isn’t the higher acid profile or tannic structure to make me think it’ll be improving beyond that timeframe. But wow. What a great wine for the next half decade. 15% etoh.

February 28, 2019 - I'm going to leave this one in the cellar for a couple more years. It's got all of the stuffing but still very tight and tannins need some time to soften. Excellent potential.

December 25, 2018 - Unbelievable as a pop and pour. Wonderful bouquet - fresh crushed raspy violets is what came to mind. Nice lasting finish

November 19, 2018 - Over four hours decant time. Has a diffused medium ruby-crimson in colour. Nose of ripe black cherries, raspberries, garrigue, and hints of sandalwood. On the palate, there are aspects of highly concentrated cherries and tea, peppery kirsch, and dark chocolate with a tad of licorice; chalky tannins. Medium bodied with a medium-long finish. I'd give this a slight edge over the 2015. Try again in 2020 or so. 94+
