  Raisiny syrupy nose I would have thought more Amarone like than Chateauneuf.
  Sharp acidity and otherwise well integrated tannins.

  August 8, 2021 - At the moment this might be closing down. Restraint dusty nose showing some cherries. Soft palette with integrated tannins and nice acidic lift towards the end

  Nose:?red fruits but honestly it is fade as the French would say.
  
  In mouth decent acidity, fairly tannic though they are smooth. Length is short.
  Mgiven the excellent ratings is it my bottle?

  April 20, 2020 - Very good! Clear, deep crimson with bluish-violet. This is younger than intended but shows well as it gets air. Huge kirsch/sour cherry notes underpin everything else. Starts on primary acidity/sourness and quickly pivots to herbs and balances with sweeter black fruit (blackberry and plum?). Slight alcohol overtone fades with a little air. Was still evolving by hour 5. Stands up to food; acid cuts well against rich fats and proteins. No regrets about opening this but as you’d expect its best days are ahead.

  December 25, 2019 - Medium ruby with transparency. Aromas of dark red fruits, orange peel, garrigue, licorice, leather, tobacco, herbs, and spice. Medium body, high acid, long finish, dry and spicy, with flavors of red fruits, orange peel, tobacco, lemon, and lingering spice. Robust with slight alcohol burn, but great with our standing rib roast tonight. Merry Christmas!
