Algemeen / potentieel: 70% Roussanne, 15% Grenache (over 60 years old), 15% Clairette. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 12 + Smaak / Afdronk: 17 + Algemeen / potentieel: 8 = 92/100

Colour: Medium straw yellow, a clear discolouration compared to 2019. Aroma / bouquet: Pleasant bouquet with limited expressiveness. Lime, stone fruit, fennel and a hint of vanilla. Taste / Aftertaste: BP14 Refined acidity. Seductive, thick-juicy and creamy wine. Retronasal impressions of stone fruit, especially fennel, chic wood. Long finish. Above average attractive Ch9dP-Blanc that is now more balanced. Overall / potential: 70% Roussanne, 15% Grenache (over 60 years old), 15% Clairette. 50 + Colour: 5 + Aroma / Bouquet: 12 + Taste / Aftertaste: 17 + General / Potential: 8 = 92/100

May 15, 2021 - Purchased at Janasse, consumed with my wife’s sautéed soft crabs, and the wine was a purrfect match. Medium to full bodied, I can’t imagine how a CdP Blanc could be much better. I don’t drink that many CdP Blancs, but this wine had balance and complexity while presenting an unusual flavor profile compared to other white wines. Not an aperitif wine, but a great match with strongly flavored seafood.

January 4, 2021 - Similar notes to last time. This time noticing a slight hint of honey along with the wonderful spectrum of aromas and flavors I described a few months back. This really is a gorgeous wine. If the slightly bitter note mid-palate through the finish were turned down just a touch, I would rate this even more highly.

September 16, 2020 - Pale yellow with a slight greenish tint. Nose is green apple, pear, and oak. Palate is a robust melange of green apple, melon, pear, peach, citrus, oak, butter, and a touch of bitter near the finish, maybe marmalade or even a hint of ginger. Mid- to full-bodied, smooth, with a significant finish. Complex, well-constructed, enjoyable wine. I think there is upside here with more integration and balance that may well come with time.

November 13, 2019 - Peach coconut liquer with less alcohol. Silky fat tannins. Lot of sugar residu in the bottle.
