February 11, 2021 - This had a nice note of black pepper that I hadn't noticed in previous bottles. It's excellent with rich food on a cold winter night.

December 20, 2020 - Raisin and camphor on the nose. On the palate, black cherry, raisin, and notes of prune and brambly spice on the medium to long finish, with moderate tannins and moderate to good acidity. This would be better if it had a little more acid. It was a good value at just over $50.

February 17, 2020 - Deep crimson-purple, opaque; intense kirsch liquor, stewed prunes, blackberry jam, tobacco, leather, vanilla; dried sweet cherry, pruney, cocoa, silky, full body, good acidity, good heat, chewy tannins, lingering finish.
Hedonistic nose of stewed fruit, leather, pipe tobacco and floral notes. Youthful acidity should mellow with time.

    September 20, 2019 - Little too fruity

August 30, 2019 - From 375 from the wine list at The Lawrence - Atlanta, GA. This was quite dark in color, with a rich dark fruited nose. On the palate was drinking surprisingly well for a young Amarone. Seems to be built more in an earlier drinking style, plums, raisins and spice cake but there is acidity lurking in the back that retains freshness, some tannins but not overly so. While this was not riveting is was enjoyable.
