April 26, 2024 - This was a little more tired than the previous bottle but still tasting really nice. Fully mature and likely won't improve, based on this bottle.

December 20, 2021 - not too expensive, as a recent purchase, at K&L to take to a blind tasting night

December 23, 2020 - Nice earthy, funky, cassis-laden mature Bdx. Very happy with this one, too bad I only got two.

August 3, 2020 - Nose of mushrooms, color is dark but faded and first taste is of bordeaux left bank. The terroir comes through in the flavors. It's past it's prime but for the price it has held up reasonably. Tasted out of the bottle, two hours and four hours after decanted and the next morning. Has held up into the morning and still enjoyable.

July 18, 2020 - from memory: nice aged bordeaux, esp for the price; dusty and earthy, smoothed and integrated tannins, but rather straightforward and lacking in complexity; good for a weeknight wine, something easy to open with a burger/steak.

June 11, 2020 - Tired, faded, muted, the fruit is thin, and secondary flavors are not prominent. Meh.

April 28, 2020 - Off to a rough start. Low alcohol. Smells loke pork skin. Acidic to the taste. Decanting for an hour - we’ll see. So far, not impressed.

Tried another bottle - absolutely awful. Never to be repeated

December 6, 2019 - This is a very good example how humble Bordeaux ages beautifully. Medium bodied, subtle and intricate. At 20 years old, it still got youthful black currant - but nothing overpowering. Tannins are integrated. After a few bottles of this, you really start to question why people pay hundreds for inky, syrupy, and high alcohol new world cab...

July 5, 2019 - Even better than the last bottle I had, this had a beautiful sweet and dry profile. Wish there were more. There's a lot to be said for drinking a humble Bordeaux with 20 years on it vs. losing patience and jumping on much younger stuff that really needs more time.

May 27, 2019 - This is showing well. Really nice dark fruit on the nose, fully resolved. Thin on the palate, and a bit austere but still plenty of charm too. 90+pts
