March 25, 2020 - Agree with all other recent reviews. This is on top of its game right now. Don't think it could get any better

February 20, 2020 - Fantastic wine. Drinking well … again. So smooth and elegant (yes, elegant … for a CdP). Tantalizing berry aromas, figs, tar, earthiness, spices, and freshly ground coffee beans.
Flavours repeat …. dusty drying tannins, licorice coming in at the end with a long finish. Beautifully balanced

February 1, 2020 - Delicious aromas of sweet red fruits and spices. Sweet and intense fruit also in the mouth. Rich, concentrated and impressive. Not very elegant, though.

January 20, 2020 - Nicely evolving 2005 Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape ($83 in 2008). Light-mid brick, amber edges; complex earthy, red fruit, floral, Grenache nose; mid-body; balanced; fine flavors; round, semi-chewy finish. w/cassoulet. 17 UC Davis scale, 92 others.

January 17, 2020 - Decanted two hours prior to consumption. Nose was perfumed and full of bright ripe fruit. The palate subdued. Tannins resolved, acid perfectly in check, but the fruit seemed tired. Flavors of cherry, meat juices, and a hint of tobacco.

December 18, 2019 - Wow, in a really special place right now.

Dark fruited, spicy and still showing lovely floral notes but balanced by dry earth, old leather and bloody roast meat with hints of animal sweat and really good hot chocolate. Acid, fruit, tannin, secondary and tertiary flavors, everything in balance.

What a great bottle in just a great place. Was easily the wine of the night with some pretty big hitters (i.e. 78 Cos from a Mag).
