November 16, 2023 - Very dark and full bodied. Black fruits, spice, perhaps some pear drops and licorice. Not bad but rather full on!

March 23, 2020 - On the nose, dark fruit, some herbaceous notes and "dust". On the palate, quite balanced with the fruit coming more to the forefront. Full-bodied with crisp acidity, matching alcohol and present but silky tannins. Decent length. A well-made wine, and if the "dust" smell does not put you off, this is great value for money at 11 GBP IB.

October 22, 2019 - Bigger than expected based on the instore pour a year ago. Cab franc and a bit of camphor dominate initially but integrates after about an hour decant. Good value at under $20.

January 14, 2019 - In-store pour. Cab Franc, Cab Sauv, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Shiraz. The Cab Franc is way out in front, dark berry, spice, greenery, and lots of dust. I love dusty wines--bought two bottles.

May 23, 2018 - Very pleasantly surprised. Had been told it was like a Beaujolais style but it was much richer - like a Syrah - round dark fruits, streaks of fresh green bell pepper, finishes perhaps a bit thin but on the whole would drink again.

January 19, 2018 - A LOT better than I was expecting! Deep ruby, raspberries, ripe (black and red) cherries, slight vegetal notes, a hint of black pepper, a hint of rose and violets. On the palate; black cherries, lots of black cherries (not as ripe as on the nose) and lots of black pepper, a big lick of liquorice, a hint of smoke, some light vanilla and a touch of toast. A bit of an alcohol burn, pretty high tannin, nice acidity and a medium plus finish. Will go just great with my griddled sirloin steak tonight!
