March 5, 2023 - Wanted to try another vintage given how well the 1999 showed a couple of months back. This was also excellent and very similar in profile, though obviously much younger. Sweet cherry, spice and earthy notes. Drinking great already but will age well.

November 23, 2017 - Thanksgiving in Volnay: Domaine Michel Lafarge (Volnay): Barrel tasting at domaine. Really impressive here. Excellent lifted cherry and spice aromatic. The palate has very good concentration filled with pure cherry and loads of spice. Long finish. Impressive. 91-93 points.

Gourmandise et finesse extraordinaires, c'est aérien comme un Volnay en attaque, mais avec une finale droite, minérale, superbement équilibrée. Fraîcheur et longueur. Magnifique. 93+ pts
