April 12, 2024 - Quite golden. Serious, not exactly savoury but close to it. I wasn’t expecting this level of austerity, given the vintage and the prestige blend.

Beautiful nose still very young on yeast, citrus fruits, mineral salts, chalk and almonds.
In the mouth, the youth is confirmed but the maturity of the juice is undeniable. Discreet effervescence and very beautiful mouthfeel which unfolds over a serene whole. There is a cereal side, with still bright citrus fruits, chalk, almonds, and a very beautiful mineral structure. Beautiful textured and chalky finish which lacks a little length for those who are demanding.
October 28, 2023 - 3 years later and still excellent. Starting to exhibit signs of maturity but will continue to improve. Drink or hold.
Intense citrus aroma, very complex. Ripe apple, citrus and orange flavors with a yeasty, salty finish. Herbal and floral undertones throughout. Strong mineral backbone. Creamy texture with great depth of flavor and lots of character. Fatter and rounder in style.
September 18, 2023 - Immediately offers orchard notes with nice yeast complexity and weight. Vibrant effervescence. Good length. Still seems youthful, but good now.
August 4, 2023 - A ripe nose, with mildly exotic fruits along with notes of preserved lemon and chalk. Good volume, richness and cut. Creamy through the mid and tangy at the back end.
July 28, 2023 - A solid vintage for this wine with good purity and crispness but missing a little concentration and plushness.
May 13, 2023 - I typically avoid Special Club wines due to the bottle size. Somehow, I have two of these (in magnum racks).
I really wish I hadn't liked it so much. While it's barely entering a prime drinking window, it's already a very fine wine. Dense brioche intermixed with orange, lemon, yellow apple, apricot. Energetic and long. I loved it (but still won't buy SC bottles).
April 11, 2023 - Slightly disappointed, maybe this is at an awkward stage. Rich and textural, but the youthful flavors have gone and haven't been replaced by mature ones. A touch heavy on the finish.
March 22, 2023 - The Fujianese restaurant (Meet the Bund) in SH recommended this Champagne and surprised us a lot.
August 23, 2022 - Really elegant Champagne with yellow fruit and brioche, really expands if you can let it sit in your glass. Good luck with that, this is tasty juice.
