December 25, 2022 - PnP for Christmas dinner, served cellar-cool. Cool and restrained, a little bit hard - would have benefited from decanting. Much softer on the second day.

May 1, 2021 - A post-lockdown weekend with friends; 5/1/2021-5/3/2021 (Copse Hill, Lower Slaughter): From magnum, decanted for ~1hr. Very appealing, glossy, sweet fruit and some spice and smoke. With lamb.

September 16, 2019 - Fruit forward, little tannic bite on the tongue pops up after you think its done. Easy drinker with a hint of complexity. A hint of cotton candy on the nose. Not a perfect finish but for $9 at costco this one has a good qpr. May be in the rotation for my tuesday nighy drinker or "bottle 2" on weekends.

May 9, 2019 - This is great. Make sure to decant as with all earthy young wines. Leathery dark fruit on the palate. Will buy again.

May 3, 2019 - Friend and I are admittedly cab lovers and this is mostly merlot. $9 at Costco. Almost bitterness on the backside. I will not buy more

January 6, 2019 - Drinks well for the price. Predominant Merlot blend. Drinking well now. Average fruit on the nose. Drinks like a standard $30 bordeaux. Typical cheese and red meat pairings would compliment.

May 31, 2018 - A day trip to Pomerol & St Emilion (Pomerol, St. Emilion): 'Junior' vineyard of La Gaffeliere, apparently being run by the next generation of the family prior to them taking over the main Chateau in due course. €13/btl. Very sweet on the nose, easy drinking, almost sweet fruit, smoke, burned sugar, not particularly acidic or tannic.
