March 22, 2024 - Juicy, fresh, matured but still fruity (bramble, sloes). Balanced and long.

September 16, 2012 - Slow-O 1 hr, could have used 60 minutes in decanter. Slight signs of age, cork in good/avg condition. Nearly all horse poo, dust, old leather at first. With 10 minutes (and lots of swirling) in the glass, some fruit elements slowly emerge - cherries, red currant, some loam and cranberry - on the nose and the palate. However, the acids are completely dominating the fruits and the tannins, having fully integrated a long time ago, aren't there to lend any support, either. What's left is a food wine, not something to be drunk on its own. 14,0% abv, drink now, as it's not getting any better.

December 31, 2009 - Very good Barbera. Lovely wine.

April 8, 2008 - Dark. Big berry nose. Fruit and oak evident on the palate but it is all integrated. Soft and lush with good concentration and a long finish that ends bright. Very good quality overall in a modern style and very good at the table. Drink now or hold short term.

November 20, 2007 - Killer juice. Showing great at the moment. Wonderful fruit richness, transparent oak integration, classic acidity, and just plain savory.
