Still has some fruit with cassis, dark fruit. The tobacco and oak taste were a little overwhelming.
Enjoyable, older Napa but felt the fruit was fading soon

Mid-dark garnet; berries, mint, sweet wood, cocoa, herbaceous nose; mid-body; mid-plus depth, intensity; good Cabernet fruit; long fruity semi-hot finish. w/stew. 16.5-17 UC Davis scale, 91-92 other scales.
July 6, 2019 - 2012 Dancing Hares Vineyard Mad Hatter, $35. Dark purple; minty, prune, herbaceous Cabernet nose; mid-big body; good fruit; long Cabernet finish; a little hot. w/beef
August 15, 2018 - Declassified barrels from Dancing Hares estate. Aged 20 months in French oak, 50% new barrels. Wine merchant had a sale, $35. Rich Napa blend (59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cab Franc, 11% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot). Darkest purple, almost Port-like; mint, cocoa, licorice nose, hints of oak; mid-big body; fruity; big extract; for those who like fruit bombs; long chewy hot finish. 16-16.5
