April 21, 2023 - Rounded out with air and closer to room temp. Petrol, lime, herbs, menthol, earth, stone fruit, and minerals on the nose. Lemon, lime, earth, hay, minerals, and a little stone fruit on the palate. Mouthwatering acidity, med-long finish. Overall, this was a nice, very dry bottle that displayed a lot of interesting earthy, herb-y qualities that worked well with dinner.

February 22, 2022 - Prior bottle was nearly nine months ago and while it continues to show well, it has taken a small step back from prior bottles. Pear, apple and white peach on a nose that was slightly softer and lacked the lemon notes from previously. Medium bodied with a similar flavor profile of white apple and pear initially, moving to white peach with some yellow peach hints through the middle and then lemon and other rounded citrus notes on the finish along with good acidity. What has changed is some of the contrasting citrus notes as well as the acidity in general have rounded out and integrated. This loss of contrast meant that the fruit, while feeling more open, lacked a touch of the focus and definition that made the prior bottle special. That said, the wine is still drinking quite well and isn't fading, just integrating. While it will hold up for a bit longer, worth drinking now while it retains enough of the contrasting notes.

May 27, 2021 - Prior bottle was almost 13 months ago and this wine remains in a good spot. May have opened this a bit on the too cold side as it seemed more closed than I was expecting at first. After about 90 minutes open and somewhat warmer, it fully recaptured my earlier impressions. Peach, apple, pear and lemon on the nose. Medium bodied with white apple and white pear upfront, adding white peach and yellow apple through the middle that gained depth and expression the longer the wine was open. Backside continues to show grapefruit and lemon and the finish has good mineral qualities and more balanced acidity. Once the wine warmed, the acidity was in very good balance with the fruit, even better than my prior bottle. In terms of fruit definition and overall balance, this wine is at peak. It should drink well over the next two years and given the acidity as well as where the tart notes are today, I don't see this fading quickly but rather, would drink over the next year to enjoy it at peak. I will open my next bottle in Q4 2021.

August 20, 2020 - Crisp and citrusy. There is an herbal character on the nose and on the finish. There is no oiliness that is typical for Riesling. It is a very interesting expression of the varietal.
