December 14, 2022 - Dark crimson, arromatic nose. I think a bit young still, but other thought it was really good.

December 5, 2022 - Only had 4 or 5 glasses before corking it and didnt try again (due to sickness). Found it to be thin, bland and a touch green. Not for me unfortunately.

January 14, 2022 - Youthful, dark carmine color.

Nose is just starting to develop some secondary notes (lead pencil, olives) but mostly primary with black fruits and cocoa nibs.

Cool but ripe blackberries, wood shavings, tangy with a graphite streak.

Showing quite well and just starting to show some development. I would probably hold a few more years, suspect peak is 5 years off.

I find Awatea a bit more modern in style than Coleraine, but this is quite a nice showing in that vein, and has good potential.

June 5, 2018 - Didn’t seem to have the complexity as the last bottle I had. Was a bit more plush with less structure. Needed more air perhaps? The fruit intensity is still there but more dominated by dark plums, blackberries and milk chocolate.
