January 23, 2013 - Either I'm crazy, or the bottle-to-bottle variation is high, or it's actually getting better--but this bottle was terrific. Really in a sweet spot right now.
September 29, 2012 - what a wine with beef and other jammy, foods. lovely to the taste. wonderful nose and notes.
September 8, 2011 - Manure on the nose; blackberry and hard candy, great long finish. Really in it's sweet spot right now.
December 25, 2009 - Disappointing
August 23, 2009 - This is an outstanding jammy wine. I expected it to be more like a cab franc, but it tastes much more like a petite syrah. Had it with spaghetti and meatballs.
December 25, 2008 - Tart jam, sour cherry, looooong finish; held up through the next day. Paired perfectly with -- yes, I know -- salty chips.
September 11, 2008 - Not sure why they didn't use this for a blend. Not as exciting as the Cab Franc they do on occasion.
June 24, 2008 - Simple; one-dimensional; not as interesting as I had hoped. Fruity, and noticeably hot. A let-down after their Cab Franc.
February 25, 2008 - Rather subtle nose on this wine. Lots of red fruits, mostly cherry, with only very slight tannins. A nice spicy finish.
December 8, 2007 - not my favorite petit verdot. was disappointed.
