Community Tasting Notes 8

December 28, 2018 - One hour decant, there is a hint of greeness in the nose that is more prevalent on the palate. A little thin across the board, I have had better expressions of chinon than this.

September 20, 2018 - Needs decanting. Raspberry and blackberry nose, with just a bit of something barnyardy. Good intensity on the palate, where the earthy and herbal notes come out a little more. Lots of citric acidity on the finish. This is pretty nice, though the midpalate is bit weak and the tannins lack some finesse. Looking forward to trying the VV cuvée, which is usually a nice step up.

August 11, 2018 - Red currant, black pepper, burnt toast, band aid, wet soil, middling tannins, medium finish, uninteresting.
