January 5, 2019 - Dirty stuff (in a good sense). Nothing for those expecting a super elegant wine. Nose initially with lots of brett but somehow well integrated. Palate comes with power. Great structure. Ageing potential. 91+

January 5, 2019 - Initially restless nose with some horse sweat, but beguiling and fascinating. Classic Brettanomyces. but positive. secondary aromas are deceptive to tertiary aromas. especially, but spectacular for me.
within 2 hours after decanting, the nose becomes precise, earthy, subtle red fruit (most likely cherry) and some caramel.
on the palate incredibly dense and with impressive length. classic pepper of the syrah. Great. very complex and full of body.
The wine takes a lot of time and can safely store for 10+ years.

March 10, 2018 - Superb stuff. Although decanted for a couple of hours it really needs time in glass. Pretty closed and oaky to start with but really turns into a different wine. Medium bodied, red berries, fleshy and a very juicy, lively ànd sexy mouthfeel to end up with. OMG wish this had been a magnum.

January 7, 2017 - Having finished Peter Vinding-Diers memoirs I had to taste this. Wonderful wine. Although rather young still a couple of hours in carafe did wonders. Clean, meaty and fleshy nose. Mature cherries and violet and a wounderful balance from oak bringing a touch of cedar to a long and fruity aftertaste. Nice balanced tannins. Impressive to be able to do such a "light" (12.5% alc) on Sicily.
