Tasted non blind. Opened and served immediately. Decanted for sediment and a crumbling cork. Served from MAGNUM.

Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of flowerss, leather, cassis, Kirsch and plum. Flavors of cassis, plum and raspberries. Medium acidity, resolved tannin, full bodied. Drink now.

December 14, 2017 - Beautiful prototypical Napa Cabernet Sauvignon from a ripe yet balanced vintage. Blackberry, currant leaf, cigar box, dark chocolate, slate, simply put this checks all the boxes. Softening somewhat but still well structured with firm tannins and plenty of density. Drinking amazingly well at age 15, hard to believe I have had this wine for that long and it is still so vibrant. Will not hestitate to age my remaining bottles for several more years.

March 25, 2017 - Out of magnum. With all due respect to some of the recent posts about this wine, I think it's drinking great right now, maybe because of the magnum but nonetheless very good wine. Black berry, blackberry fruit and dark chocolate with notes of licorice. Well integrated, smooth tannins, good long finish.

November 19, 2016 - Massive wine that shows well today. Everything about it is thick and fat. No acid, dried fruit in abundant integreted with a generous amount if french oak. Thick and chewy mouthfeel that gives you the sense of a port without the residual sugar.

September 13, 2016 - Always love Neal but I agree this wine is showing signs of age. Popped and poured, no decant. Still good but not great - possibly past it's prime.
