November 17, 2019 - Outstanding
November 6, 2018 - Drank from 3.0L at my wedding. I thought it was still holding together really well, but drink ASAP.
Oak was still a little more present than I’d have liked.
Others who don’t like aged wines thought it was drinkable but not their faveorite.
Not shabby for a 16 year old Zin.
January 13, 2013 - This is still going. Very good wine. Still has bright fruit and a great pepper streak.

September 11, 2012 - Drank from magnum over two nights. An absolutely spectacular zin that is right in its prime. Bright, lively red fruit with just enought structure to keep this singing for several more years. No heat or oaky flabbiness so this is very much in the Schrader style of zin. Fantastic.
March 18, 2012 - Just splendid... Outstanding, actually! Softened tannins matched with silky layers of deep ripe red fruit. Was more Cabernet than zin.
January 28, 2011 - Still drinking wonderfully. Lots of spice and dark fruit.
February 11, 2010 - It was worth the wait to consume this bottle. Howell Mtn wines need lots of time and this one was no exception. Who say zins don't age.
November 8, 2009 - Wonderful bouquet of spice. This wine still has time. A little hot at first but that blew of in 10 minutes. Very enjoyable. Wish I had more but now on to the 2003 vintage!
May 15, 2009 - Popped and poured. Taste had a bit of smoke, but was dominated by dark fruit and spice. Medium finish.
