February 12, 2010 - Drink up. Losing much of its complexity, but the oak component is still present -- without the bitterness.

February 26, 2008 - Oak component is not aging well right now. Still good fruit, but the oak is getting a bit bitter. Downward decline?

December 26, 2006 - Just a solid wine--nice oak overtones, that do not overpower, yet starting to exhibit a refined smoothness in the finish.

    November 11, 2006 - DAWGS Offline - November 2006 (su vino's home in Southlake, TX): WIML89,NOWA,NOWS

Tasted November 11, 2006 at an offline. Opened and served immediately in a Spiegelau Authentis Magnum glass. Garnet color in the glass, slightly dusty looking throughout. Nose that was a touch green to me with some Kirsch notes, black berries and a bit of balsamic that showed up later in the evening on revisit. Flavors of black cherries, ripe berries and a touch of mint on the finish. Light to medium acidity, tannins and body. Decidely new world merlot. Drink over the short term, perhaps will hold a few years.
