January 29, 2024 - Earthy flavours alongside bright tart red berries. Medium body, quite high acidity. Quite lean, though the palate does have a sweet edge to it. Medium chewy tannins. Medium length, straightforward. Early drinking now, will hopefully soften and become more harmonious with time.

December 2, 2023 - For my daughters 2nd birthday in 2018, I tried put a couple of $25-30 bourgogne. The winner was 2016 @domaine_meo_camuzet bourgogne. It was balanced, layered and smooth. Trying my next bottle 5 years later, and the balance, smoothness and freshness remains. More sweet than I remember, but still Burgundy. Dark cherry and pomegranate. Now a $60 wine on WS. ZW90. My old tasting note from 2018 said “89-90 and would benefit from some age”. Backtesting track record of 100%

March 22, 2023 - Drank over 2 days. On open very aromatic but drinking a bit closed for 30 min. Nose intoxicating though. Very typical Vosne nose.
Nose, I’d guessed premier cru Vosne. Ripe black cherries, Vosne spice, fresh cut pine, almond paste, fennel, leather, ripe raspberries, mulberry.
Drinking much better day #2. Explosive in the mouth but a bit short finish except for long black tea blackberry finish. I wouldn’t say it’s balanced but a very good Bourgogne. On the modern side. -

February 4, 2023 - Popped and pouredz. At its best after an hour of air. Modest floral nose. Black cherry, forest floor and tea on the palate. Medium bodied, round and drinkable. A very good bourgogne.

-med dark red
-black cherry mild funk
-med acidity, med/med- weight on the simple side generous nicely focused ripe if slightly faded sweet black cherry balanced by a bitter soil-inflected minerality, med tannins on rather long finish
-very good Bourgogne on the riper stylish side but well countered by vibrant energy and old world sensibility
