August 5, 2019 - I love Outpost and have had some really good examples of this wine. Maybe just an off night for us, but it didn't stand out. Maybe needed more air? This was pop and pour. Would nold for now - certainly has stuffing.

July 29, 2019 - This wine is a dark garnet in color with a nose of cassis, blueberries, and dark cherry. The palate is the same with a big burst of blueberries on the finish after a few hours of air. On the pnp this was a bit muted with a touch of heat. Decanted 2 hours and drank over another hour. At one hour the wine was much bigger and had filled out. 2 hours was the sweet spot. This wine has big rich fruit that delivers in a seamless manner. This is softer than the True Vineyard Cab and I wanted to try this before breaking out the big boy. A very enjoyable wine. I drank this with a strawberry salad and spaghetti and meatballs. Preferred it without the food.

July 7, 2019 - It is common knowledge that this is a blend of 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Cabernet Franc, and 38% Merlot. What a gorgeous nose. Yesterday, we consumed it with the 2015 Outpost True. I decanted the regular Outpost True for five hours, and the Immigrant at the table. Twenty minutes with the Immigrant and you are ready for lift-off. When paired with 2015 True, it is what we call the "perfecta." My friends whom we dine with were astounded with the wines. Forget all the Parker, Vinous, etc. nonsense. Drink this beauty now. You will be rewarded!
