The prior tasting note is spot on and I still can’t believe how good this second wine is.

November 17, 2023 - PNP, and drinking well from the open. Nice Bordeaux blend that still presents the Tuscan terroir front and center. The nose in particular almost suggests sangiovese (there is none in this blend), with hints of burnt citrus and Tuscan soil. Good balance of fruit on the palate with a dash of leather and minerality. Really enjoyable and great QPR relative to its better known and more expensive older brother.

June 23, 2023 - 2 flaschen im abstand weniger wochen getrunken. Positiv überrascht nach eher enttäuschendem 2014er erlebnis. Nach etwas belüftungszeit schöner trinkfluss dunkle kirsche, etwas sauerkirsche, tee(r)ige nuacen und ansprechende dichte... den 16er würde ich definitiv wieder kaufen und dünkt mich momentan in gutem trinkfenster.
June 4, 2023 - Initial glass nice sweet & tart cherry; next glass somewhat dulled and sour cherry. would have given it an 89 but first glass pulled it up.
May 6, 2023 - this was a very nice blended wine. Decant for about 1 hour then it was very fragrant and with smooth tannin structure. Was vey nice with Italian food.
May 2, 2023 - Moderate density. Subtle nose of dark cherry, blueberries, cedar and spice. Very nice, filling mouth feel with some spicy heat on the palate. Nice finish typical of a Tuscan.
March 22, 2023 - Taste a little bit later after open it, was very closed, tasty and mineral.
The day after was very different! Very smooth, well balanced, soft tannin!. It was at his peak for sure! Drink now!
March 12, 2023 - Beautiful red and blue berries, earthy spices, vanilla and a touch of leather on the nose. Rich and rounded palate with medium-bodied structure. Good level of fresh acidity carried the flavours from the dense entry seamless to the finish which is somewhat short and one dimensional. Ready to drink now with minimal decanting needed.
February 6, 2023 - Notes after 3 days open. Dark ruby color, about 80% opaque with no fading and a small amount of sediment. Pretty classic Bordeaux nose with cassis, pencil shavings, tobacco, leather, spice, and cologne. The tannic grip was holding its ground for the first day open but relaxed on day 2 and 3, allowing a delicious mix of fruit and acidity to play across the palate. After running through a lineup of 9 Bdx wines two days ago that spanned 1949 - 2005, I can say this would've been a great blind ringer to put into the tasting. Not much in here that would lead me to anywhere but the Left Bank which, imho, is a compliment because it's tough to find Bdx this good for the price.
