  August 1, 2020 - Medium coloration, limpid at the edges, slightly brown along the next ring in. Lovely nose of red fruits, hint of cherries, a bit of decomposed leaves, and a promise of light and bright to come. That promise is delivered on: good acid on the attack, moderately complex pinot flavors with raspberries, strawberries, pepper, and a nice long finish with some spice to it. Reminds me of Saintsbury's products from the late 90's early 2000's (between Garnet and their base level Pinot). Good value at under $20.

  July 10, 2019 - Aromatic, rooty, strawberry, and spice nose. Warm, soft and glycerined palate; dry, ripe, med-bodied finish.

  July 6, 2019 - Brilliant ruby-red with medium plus optical density (with a touch of glow due to the rich transmitted light), and high, fine specular reflectivity. Aromatics are intense, with bright cherry, some savory darker berries, earthy dried leaves and herb, and a bit of sharp bacon dust. On the palate with medium body and an electrical, dancing presence. Bright acidity and fine tannins that are more like pollen grit- there and firmly holds together, but with smoother and lubricated type of grip. Overall the texture is rounded from entry to midpalate, before an interesting twist to some lightly more acute angles (still probably rounded though). Flavours of bright cherry and raspberry on the attack, with some lighter strawberry and tart dark berry in the background. The midpalate picks up a savory roasted meat note, with mushroom and earthy herbs. The final transition shows spice and dried herbs, ending with a finish of sour cherry pit and tobacco, and lingering for a decent bit.
  
  This is a very nice PN from the new world. It has personality and grace, with a twist that is fun and different. Sort of like a fitted tux on that awesome dude that has face tattoos. Not a complex drink that tends to evolve and emerge in layers on the palate here- this is a straight-ahead flavour experience, but there is a lot there. So interesting depth here, but not of the sort that is transcendent and alive, more so in that it is just wine that is not afraid to be itself and give all of the flavours right up front and proudly. This is fun, while still leaning to the classic PN from Burgundy (No Golden State cooked Pinot-Shiraz here). Really nice value here too- a great wine to drink alone or with food, no hesitation in drinking this now!

  April 23, 2019 - Young. Limpid, semi-transparent Ruby color - beautiful. Cherry, floral, and cinnamon on the nose. Pallette adds fine tannins. Medium length finish. Hold for a few years.
