April 14, 2024 - "Pairs with Sadness" (Chicago, IL): So nice to be able to revisit this without opening one of my own. Surprisingly accessible and drinkable given the somewhat awkward age right now. Still very much a product of the vintage, with its bright, perfumed red fruit. Granitic to a T, minerally, and just flat-out delicious. No harm in opening bottles now.

February 15, 2024 - WOW, superbe new d'encens, charbon noir, olives noires, cerises noires... Super delicious, loads of bacon, viande fumée, super sappy delicious.

January 6, 2024 - Wine Bros: A Study of Syrah (Cowford Chophouse): Another wine where it’s a bit of a change because again you are back in the young wine realm but there is something here in the wine which I still get and I hope others could see as well. A purity in style and classic and with age this will just be special and already it can be enjoyable. Very well balanced. Completely classy. I can see why these wines have been jumping up in price, they are special.

Wonderful archetypical northern Rhône Syrah, dark fruits, peppery, meaty…..
Harmonious palate, h-T, m+A, h-B, dry, intense, dark fruit, impeccable balance, long finish
Drink now for the sheer fruit or wait 5-8 years for more maturity
Really a fine glass having perfect balance between the elements

December 28, 2023 - Initial black fruits with slight espresso notes on the finish. This opened up nicely after an hour+. More red fruits and elegant, rounded. I would try this again in a year or so
