January 24, 2023 - 24012023 - Chor Sam drink over a rainy & cooling CNY. Definitely not ready on the palate. Pour: dirty deep ruby core with moderate legs. Nose: deeply seductive - dark fruit, ripe sweet cherry, layered with sundried tomatoes, rolled tobacco and ragged leather. >1hr: vanilla, sweet clove & fig. Palate: honestly rather disjointed. Grippy and rather linear throughout. Gonna revisit tomorrow

January 25, 2022 - A pleasure to drink. A bit this but with nice acidity and a very refreshing quality.

February 26, 2021 - Huge disappointment, totally stewed. Think there was heat damage. Leaving it open (half drunk) for 2-3 days to see if it levels out.

December 12, 2020 - Some short notes, didn't have time to score it. First sour cherry and grippy tannins but then it opened up with 3-4h of decant. Red cherry, blueberry, little earthiness with a great acidity making this wine very balanced. Tannins softened, it became very elegant and fine. Great wine for a reasonable price, needs 3 to 5 more years in my opinion. Looking forward to trying the 2015 as well.

October 28, 2019 - Very fresh, bright, and full of juice. Cherry tabacco, fine grained tannin, long sweet finish. The wine lacks intensity but makes up for it with elegance and a feminine beauty. Overpowered by our tomato sauce, but oh so good on its own.

April 6, 2019 - Solid but that is about it. Didnt really have that Brunello typicity. The wine wasn't flabby by any means but it lacked that sangiovese acidic tang that I often enjoy in Brunello.

November 18, 2018 - young. uncomplicated yet. really needs several more years right now. Just back from trip to Italy, and the nose really made me remember my trip. deep red, decanted for 2 hours prior, but started really liking it more about an hour later. Classic sangio, but not quite enough layers which taste of promise. Keeping the other bottles for at least another 3 years before I open

    November 10, 2018 - Brunello 13 lunch tasting #2:

Modern style but not excessive on the oak. Ecologic farming, fermented mostly in steel tanks but parts in wood, aged 36 months in 500l Tonneau.

Seductive creamy nose with black currant, blueberry, chocolate, creme caramel, licorice, nougat, hints of vanilla and a roasted touch.

Cherries and earthy notes on the palate, some bitterness, tough tannins, needs another year or two in bottle. Drink in 2-5 years. 90p.

October 26, 2018 - Pretty young and acidic with light red fruit notes. Not very complex at the moment and hopefully will get much better with age. Easy drinking "sipper" at this moment.

September 9, 2018 - This wine needs to age more for its full potential. Flavors are tightly bound.
