January 29, 2021 - Consistent with previous notes. Wanting more from this wine, vis a vis price/vintage/region and hoping that the last two bottles from this shipment will develop and offer more with some additional cellar time. Drank over two nights; no gas. Second night showed no discernible development or degradation.
January 14, 2021 - Pleasant. Distinctly Tuscan, spot on Sangiovese character. Tasting partner found overall profile to be a but muted. Drank over two nights, no gas, no significant improvement or decline. Expecting a bit more from this vintage at this stage of development.
August 25, 2020 - Nice Chianti, nothing groundbreaking but drank well over 3 nights.
May 8, 2020 - Lighter color, slightly transparent. Nose is classic with notes of cherry, smoke, and leather. Something minerally as well. Palate is fruit forward, but not sweet, with good tannins and basic structure. A bit drying. Red and black fruits. Dry finish of sour cherry and black fruits. Basic, easy drinking Chianti that is well made and can age.
March 22, 2020 - Not going to buy this again. Prior reviewer critiqued as kind of thin and I agree with that. Not terrible, but not interesting and just a little rough.
March 10, 2020 - Light enjoyable chianti
December 30, 2019 - Corked.
December 4, 2019 - Pleasant, characteristic notes of cherry. Lighter than expected acidity and tannins, medium length finish. Enjoyed with cheese tortellini, nice pairing.
September 14, 2019 - Dark red cherry, wood, nice balance. Fairly classic even if not particularly complex. Good
July 8, 2019 - Last bottle from Garagiste, after reading the review from Gregory Dal Piaz, I thought this would be a good purchase, well not so much, pretty thin, there’s not much going on, not going to buy again.
