January 14, 2020 - Pale, light weight and delicate. But it doesnt stop it from expressing its pure transparency and complex flavours of wild flowers, fresh bamble fruits, sour cherry, pepper, some smoke, discrete oak. On the finish it has earthy minerality and hint of savoury. Every bite delicious.

December 4, 2019 - I first had this wine on a recommendation from somm at a restaurant in Oslo last summer. It was eye opening and absolutely loved it.

When I returned home bought some bottles. First bottle I tried was similar to Lord Rodneys experience on first night. Low and behold second night it returned to the same wine as that night in Oslo. Might be entering a dumb phase? Not sure but have since tried some of their higher echelon wines and I love this domaine.

In my opinion this wine is a screaming deal for $26 US. Maybe open well in advance if drinking now or give it a few years in cellar.

December 4, 2019 - 2016 Domaine Coquard Loison-Fleurot Bourgogne Rouge - we had this while cooking dinner. We love this domaine but this bottle was actually our first try of the generic Bourgogne Rouge. Unfortunately it was a little disappointing - there seemed to be some good underlying material but it was like there was a lid over the fruit and flavors and it was a bit harsh. It simply never came out to play. Decanting did not help. I still have confidence in this but time is needed before we try it again✌

    October 12, 2019 - Eye: deep red
Nose: dark red fruit, some wet stone, mineral.
Palate: black red fruits lush mid palate with great balance. Medium plus acidity and finish.

Overall this is quite nice. Lush and balanced, you really cannot do much better for a house burg. Enjoy!
