November 21, 2019 - This ripe but medium-bodied wine has incredible depth and purity for a second wine - and it's easily the best Ovid Experiment wines I've tasted so far. I think 2015 was a fantastic vintage at Ovid, and this is one more example.
Dark red in color and medium in body, the wine offers aromas of black cherry, cocoa powder, and pencil lead. Tastes of boysenberry, espresso, leather, and baking spices, with a silky and lingering finish. Blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Cabernet Franc, 14% Merlot, and 6% Petit Verdot. 14.7% alcohol. Drink in next few years. -

January 18, 2019 - Wow, just wow! A 2 hour decant and this young buck was ready!
Beautiful purple in the glass with a soft mouthfeel and seamless tannins. Some lavender with spice and pepper on the nose. Then the palate explodes with plum, cherry, deep red fruit and a pepper finish. My only wish was for a viscosity/finish to match the mid-palate that would hold on for a few more seconds.

November 25, 2018 - Just a massive wine. Blew away other selections at the table (Nine Suns, Dalla Valle, Realm Bard...). Very polished and clean structure keeps it very refined though. Built for the long term and needing several more years.
