April 2, 2022 - Consistent with previous notes. This wine is just getting better

March 13, 2022 - This was shockingly good. Double decanted for a couple of hours and was ready to go. Everything you’d want from a well crafted BdM. Typical notes of cherry, smells of a old world butcher shop. Punches well above its price point. Was stunned. Have one more, will hold for a few years as my sense this will improve.

September 21, 2021 - Ordered from the list of a Michelin star restaurant, to pair with the latter portion of the tasting menu which consisted of quail, a hearty stew (with rendered bone marrow gravy), and a most delectable aged lamb course. Decanted for perhaps an hour or so and it blossomed very quickly, and very easy to drink. Very smooth tannins, still had good acidity, and the most aromatic nose of berries (raspberries in particular). The match with the lamb was dead on. It's amazing how this bottle performed that night, and the additional value it gave in terms of enjoyment and pairing.

April 20, 2021 - Decanted- Sweet fruit lifted by high alcohol 14.5%. Wet Saddle leather, Ripe tannins (some oak but not overbearing), good acid with Long finish This wine is good now and will be wonderful in 5+ years.

May 8, 2020 - Dark Bing cherries and smokiness on the nose. This same continues on to the palate with a delightful slight sweetness on the tip of the tongue, Sliding to a medium mouthfeel and a wholly delightful balance. It was perfect with naan bread pizza, Topped with sauteed onions and garlic, kalamata olives, feta cheese and arugula, marinated artichoke hearts.
