October 15, 2023 - Light body. Very limited fruit and slightly acidic. Been tracking this for years as I bought way too many. Has consistently disappointed!

March 7, 2023 - Light to medium body. Overly acidic, imbalanced, tight and closed. Extremely rustic. Has not improved with age over the preceding few years. I will check in again on this in early 2024 but I don’t have high hopes.

December 14, 2022 - 1/12. Deep and bright cherry red. Finely powdery mid to dark red fruit on the nose. Densely silky. Cool red fruit. Very attractive. Lots here for a BR. Top ***

October 3, 2022 - A beautiful glowing light garnet and purple hue with a slightly transparent rim. On the nose, cool but ripe red berry fruit, some blue notes, and fresh flower scents. On the palate, this has impressive body and mouth feel for a Bourgogne. A soft, silky texture with slightly chalky but fine tannins that are still quite young, but well integrated and ripe. Ripe but tart red berry fruit with a touch of spice and nice acidity lift on the mid palate. This is great QPR and a terrific introduction to Barthod wines. Highly recommend and drinking in a nice spot now, but on the young side and can certainly wait if desired.

August 14, 2022 - Impressed with the overall package and QPR. This was richer than I expected for a BR. Gave it some air for an hour or two and it drank very well indeed. Strawberry on the nose but cherry in the mouth. Not overly sweet, quite mineral. No rough edges, smooth but enough supporting acid. Very good.

March 6, 2021 - agree completely with Jeremy Holmes. glad I saw some notes about air cuz it led me to open this wine an hour or two early and I think it really benefitted from the airtime. bright red cherries and brilliant detailed minerality. this is definitely a baby but man its so good. im rating 91 now but with lots of upside and im looking for more.

February 2, 2021 - Cherry, with stony/mineral notes. This is a serious Bourgogne and built to age - needs a good bit of air right now. I’ll plan to wait a couple of years before opening another.

July 10, 2020 - Dark red. Dark red fruits and sherbet on the nose. Deeply concentrated for this level. Pure and cool but dark red fruited. A nice bitter and long finish. I suspect this should really be allowed time to develop as it has a lot of stuffing on which to age. Lovely now but should be even better in time.

June 4, 2020 - Starts of very compact and tight, with loads of stony mineral action. As the wine takes on air it gains intensity of sweet cherry fruit flavour at its core. It has excellent detail and depth for its level and is built to age. There are pleasant florals that emerge towards the finish.
