April 8, 2023 - This certainly didn’t have the level of sweetness I expected. Drank closer to a slightly off-dry Riesling. Going to try again tomorrow and see if anything changes/develops. Still quite a treat and a wine that is full of stone and tropical fruit. Very good overall.

December 28, 2021 - Off dry. The funk is killing all the fruit and sweetness. A disappointment

October 7, 2021 - Immediately struck by the botrytis notes here, a very different nose. Honeyed and savoury complexity; very strong streak of funky botrytis here. Lovely wine.

July 11, 2020 - Bright yellow with a slightly golden hue. Nose is somewhat developed, with notes of apricots and other tropical fruits, honey and a touch of wet wool. Mouthfeel is somewhat developed, semi-dry, with notes of tropical fruits such as apricots, honey and citrus. Drinks well now, but will probably express more of itself with some more time.

January 31, 2020 - Fine structure. Grapefruit and oolong tea. Wet slate with long, rich mineral driven finish. Zippy acidity. This will last a long time and reward patience.

August 31, 2019 - Golden; medium-plus aromatics with apple, wet wool; palate is medium bodied, some noticeable but balanced sweetness, apple juice flavors, medium acidity, balanced alcohol; medium finish. I definitely think the Vin de France (Vouvray) bottling was more complex and had more depth, though this is still perfectly enjoyable. Good for the discounted price of $35. 89-90

July 1, 2018 - Tasted alongside the same vintage Vin de France (Vouvray), and found it difficult to pick a favorite. This wine came off slightly leaner, but no less impressive. Both require many years to reveal their finest qualities.
