November 13, 2022 - Bumping up a point from last bottle three years ago as this has integrated nicely. Full-bodied, velvety and rich, with blackberries, plum, tobacco and licorice.

December 27, 2020 - Splash decanted 4 or 7 times, I can't remember exactly. I lost track flipping the wine back and forth between the two decanters. Drank exceptionally well over the next hour with HMC as we debated all the election fraud that has taken place! Very pleasant acidity, fruit and tannins. This is drinking the best that I can remember. Balanced and quite enjoyable.

October 26, 2020 - I bought this thinking the price for this vineyard was too good to true. Not the most inspiring George’s, lighter and more acidic than others. Decent fruit, nice minerality. Medium bodied wine. This was the second 2015 beckstoffer to disappoint last week. Maybe just this bottle or the vintage at this point in time.

July 3, 2020 - This needs a little more time or a good decant. Drinking beautifully once it has opened up.

November 23, 2019 - A 2 oz. pour at a wine bar tasting against a 2013 Merryvale Profile and 2016 Odette Cab. This was not decanted and was open for maybe 30-60 minutes in the bottle. Garnet in color with cassis, blackberry, and spice. I believe this wine would have showed a little better with a decant although I thought this was the best of the 3 wines with the Profile, not my style and the Odette disjointed and not ready. 92+

August 14, 2019 - PNP Drank next to B Cellars 16 Missouri Hopper, and a B cellars 16 G3. A very good wine that ranked 3rd but against 2 pretty darn good wines.

The Sojourn was the lightest and most acidic of the 3 but definitely had family ties to the B Cellars G3. Mostly red fruit and fairly well integrated for a youngster. Pleasing on its own but would recommend with food going forward. For what its worth, I rated the B Cellars G3 a 94 and the Mizz a 96.

June 23, 2019 - Full, velvety body, well integrated. Dark berries, cedar and sweet plum sauce. Oaky finish, a touch on the extracted, sweet side but still very good.
