May 31, 2009 - Color (5/5): nice hearty gold. Nose (11/15) was somewhat light, but the glassware was bad and I believe the wine was served too cold (straight from the refrigerator). Score compensates a bit due the palate (13/20) which had good peachy floral flavors and firm acidity, and a nice long finish of canned peaches(!) after a good full mouthfeel. As the wine warmed up, the fruit-floral notes naturally expanded. Very well done white Rhône style that's clearly Californian. May even show some small development over the next couple of years (6/10).

June 22, 2008 - A solid effort from Bonny Doon if not exactly my style of white wine. Light nose with an odd mix of floral and petrol elements. Definite lemon/lime pie upfront, followed by pear and peach notes and then finishes a little bitter and a touch off balance. This is medium bodied without alot of acidity and I would recommend to someone who likes Chardonay but is looking to branch out a little.

May 3, 2008 - Drank with Randall at the Philbrook Wine Experience last night. White peach and orchard blossoms dominate the nose, and the palate is built upon a beautiful mineral streak that intensifies with air. Medium-bodied, with a rich mouthfeel.

February 19, 2008 - Lightly golden color, with lovely apricot and almond notes and hints of flowers, a smooth, lush almost waxy mouthfeel, but with a dry finish, not flabby or cloying.

February 9, 2008 - Brought to a friend's house for dinner and all four of us LOVED this bottle. Complex, flavorful, such a nice finish. I agree with those who spoke of "mineral and citrus." I also like the flavor of lime blossom... we loved both the Le Cigare Blanc and its hearty red brother, Le Cigare Volant.

February 1, 2008 - Surprisingly light and lean for a CA white rhone, lots of mineral and citrus. I actually wished it had a bit more weight and complexity. Nice wine with good mineral flavors but a bit too linear and not interesting enough to be great. Good wine that seems to be more Grenache Blanc influenced than Roussane.
