January 17, 2024 - Man is this good. Took a while to open up, but drinking on day two I can smell the nose of cherries, baking spices and olive about a foot away from the glass. Drinking beautifully. Gentle tannins, just the right acidity, and a long olive washed finish.

January 9, 2022 - Color: dark ruby with violet reflexes
Nose: smashed olives and charred myrtle wood. Dark cherry. Caramel presumably from the barrel. Bruised herbs like rosemary and sage
Palate: medium-high acidity, medium-high tannins still grippy. Full body. Confirms the nose with some added very clear pomegranate molasses.
    Finish: medium

Started with a whiff of cardboard, which thankfully after 2 hours of air blew off. I think this is still young ultimately, the tannins are burly. It has charm though, and a degree of power. Let's see how long I manage to hold on to my third bottle, especially since the previous one also had cardboard smells at the onset. Recommend 3 hours of air, room temp.

November 12, 2021 - A nice showing, but no stunner. Blackberry crumble cooked over an open fire. Acid is a bit strong still.

November 5, 2021 - Terrific nose of violets, nice tannic backbone, quite structured, dark berries and nice weight on the palate

October 30, 2021 - Not rating first of three, bottle was not perfect sadly. Some promise can be guessed here.

April 7, 2018 - Somewhat dull, had higher expectations.

August 8, 2017 - Damn, of you like northern rhone as a style you've hit the jackpot. Tapenade nose, gritty blackberry, and a fabulous chalky mineral foundation. Excellent
