July 17, 2023 - In a nice place; Burgundian; great value

May 6, 2020 - Solid wine. I expected this to be a bitter sweeter. This was pretty darn dry. This was a very nice wine, with good fruit, complex light almond and mint, light bitterness and good acidity. light-medium body.

Unfortunately, I expected this to be fuller bodied and sweeter so it did NOT do well with barbacoa tacos.

November 8, 2019 - Beautiful yellow color, fine aeromatics, significant acidity, abundant rich white wine flavors, some bitterness on the finish. Delicious, need a few more !

Pungent, powerful, flavors linger for minutes. Very fine indeed.

Am envious of MC2 WINES to find this at his local restaurant by the glass !!

August 1, 2018 - Standard Alo dinner: Again off the by the glass list at Alo. It's interesting this is described as a 'Sec'. It was actually only very lightly sweet. More floral in nature. Very clean in nature. Love Chenin and how nicely the grape can balance between having real body and having a nice acidity that balances.

May 27, 2018 - This is one of many great Envoyer finds at only $18 and I wish I had grabbed more than 2. I found myself, at times, thinking I was drinking Meursault but most of the time this stayed clearly in classic Vouvray territory. I really like that this is somewhat dryer than many Vouvray and yet there is plenty of citrusy fruit to go with the excellent minerality. Buttressed by just right acidity. Farmed organic, natural yeast, tank fermented and 40 year old vines makes for a very soulful wine for only $18. 13% Alc. Loved it on the deck with brats tonight.
